Pilgrimage to Spain wth the Nigerian Chaplaincy
8 days / 7 nights
Travel with the Nigerian Chaplaincy in the UK on this special pilgrimage led by Fr Michael Ogunyinka. We invite you to journey across the ancient heart of Spain, visiting many of the most popular shrines in the country. From the majestic cathedrals of Burgos and León to the sacred quiet of ávila’s walls and the holy destination of Santiago de Compostela; we will walk in the footsteps of saints. We will visit the iconic Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, renowned as the burial site of St. James. We will complete a small section of the Camino walk, to the Lighthouse of Finisterre, and therefore finishing the final section of the Way of St James. In Leon we visit the San Marcos former monastery and the ancient Basilica of San Isidoro, before moving onto Burgos, where we view the Cathedral of St Mary of Burgos. We will end our pilgrimage in Avila, the birthplace of St. Teresa. May this journey deepen our faith, renew our hope, and unite us in the spirit of pilgrimage - a sacred movement toward God, toward others, and toward the truest version of ourselves.
