Home to the Vatican, a vast wealth of religious shrines, ancient but beautiful architecture, Renaissance, exhibitions, exquisite food and good wine, certainly, Rome has something for everyone. On our pilgrimage to Rome, you will have the opportunity to be immersed in the centre of it all. You will also attend the general Papal Audience (if the Holy Father is in residence).

Italy is also the home of Assisi, a UNESCO protected town and home to the Basilica of St. Francis and his tomb, the chapels of St. Martin and St. Magdalene and the 32 frescoes of St. Francis.

Many of our Pilgrimage to Italy itineraries also include a visit to San Giovanni Rotondo, which hosts The Shrine of St. Pio, the second most visited shrine in the world. View the tomb of St Pio his confessional where he performed many of his miracles.

Some of our itineraries offer a visit to Loreto, home of the Basilica della Santa Casa, a Shrine of the Holy House of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This is one of the holiest and most visited pilgrim destinations in Italy because it contains the family home of Mary. This is where she grew up and where the Archangel Gabriel appeared and told her that she would become the Mother of God. 

Visit the beautiful church of St Anthony of Padua. To many people around the world St Anthony is well known as the doctor of the church, patron saint of finding things or lost people and the patron saint of Padua. The Chapel of the Saint is the most beautiful and spiritual centre of the basilica, which houses the Altar and Tomb of St. Anthony.
