Introduction

In the spirit of joyful hope and faithful anticipation, we embark on this sacred pilgrimage toward World Youth Day Seoul 2027, united as young people from every corner of the world. Called by Christ and guided by the Blessed Virgin Mary, we journey not as tourists, but as pilgrims. It is a journey of the heart; a time of prayer, reflection, sacrifice, and communion with fellow young catholics. South Korea, where faith has flourished through courage, martyrdom, and resilience, we prepare to meet our brothers and sisters in Christ. Together, we will celebrate the vibrant witness of the Church in Asia. World Youth Day Seoul 2027 awaits not as a destination, but as a holy encounter for young hearts travelling from all over the world, coming together once again.

What is World Youth Day?

World Youth Day (WYD) is a worldwide gathering of young people organised by the Catholic Church. It was established in 1985 by Pope John Paul II to encourage young people to deepen their faith, build friendships across cultures, and celebrate their shared beliefs.

WYD aims to:

  • Help young people grow spiritually.
  • Foster peace, unity, and friendship across cultures.
  • Encourage service, hope, and leadership.
  • Strengthen participants’ connection with the global Church.

Important notes before booking

This is a Southwark Archdiocesan pilgrimage for participation in World Youth Day 2027. The travel package has been arranged by the Southwark Catholic Youth Service in co-operation with All Saints Travel.

Please note that the WYD pilgrim package registration and fee is included in the price, however, its content is separate from your travel package with us and should be used at your own discretion. It will likely include basic insurance, provisions for lunch, dinner and access to public transport as has been the case for previous events.

The itinerary is provisional because the WYD organisers are still releasing details about the event in phases, such as the exact timetable and day-to-day venues in Seoul. There is however plenty of useful information on the official website that can be viewed by clicking here.
