See the Gospel come to life by following the footsteps of Jesus in the Holy Land. From Galilee to Jerusalem, you will find yourself immersed in spirituality and culture. This beautiful, tried and tested itinerary promises to bring the faithful pilgrim an unforgettable experience, including a non-stop return flight from Manchester to Tel Aviv airport, a touring coach and professional local guide, as well as en-suite accommodation at the 3* Hotel in Tiberias and in Bethlehem Star Hotel (3*).

Itinerary

Day 1, Sunday 20th NovemberUK/Tel Aviv/Bethlehem

Depart London with easyJet direct to Tel Aviv Ben-Gurion Airport. Upon arrival coach transfer to our hotel in Bethlehem. Evening dinner in our hotel and overnight.

Day 2, Monday 21st NovemberBethlehem / Shepherds' Field

After breakfast walk to Manger Square to the Basilica of Nativity. We first visit the Grotto of the Nativity where Jesus was born and afterwards, we tour the church visiting St Catherine’s church, St Jerome’s Grotto and St Joseph’s Grotto where we will have our Mass. Free time to look around this magnificent basilica before we move on to visit the Milk Grotto and visit the Museum of the Miracles. Lunch in Bethlehem. Afterwards coach to Shepherd’s field, visit Grottos there and Chapel above – where the angels first sang the ‘Gloria in excelsis Deo’ on the night of the first Christmas. We sing Carols here. Shopping in Bethlehem before we return to our hotel.

Day 3, Tuesday 22nd NovemberBethlehem/Jerusalem (old city)

Coach to Jerusalem, arrive in St Stephens Gate proceed to St Anne’s church the birthplace of our Lady and visit here and the Pool of Bethesda. Proceed to Basilica of Ecce Homo, visit Pilate’s Court, Crowning with Thorns and the Condemnation Chapels followed by a Stations of the Cross along the Via Dolorosa (a Cross is available to carry if desired) and ends in the Holy Sepulchre Basilica (the holiest place for Catholics). We celebrate Mass in the Chapel of Apparition. We continue our guided tour here and visit Mt Calvary, the Holy Tomb of the Resurrection, the Blessed Sacrament Chapel and the True Cross. We spend some time here for private prayers and devotion. Return to our hotel and dinner here.

Day 4, Wednesday 23rd NovemberJerusalem/Bethany/Jericho/Dead Sea

Early departure to Jerusalem and visit the Wailing ‘Western Wall which is part of the remaining wall around the temple that was destroyed in AD70. This is the holiest place for Judaism. Proceed to Bethany to visit St Lazarus’ Church, the home of Lazarus, Martha and Marry where Jesus raised Lazarus to life. Mass here. Continue to Jericho and view the Mt of Temptation and the Zacchaeus’s Sycamore. Lunch break. Then to the Dead Sea and experience the floating in Sea. Evening dinner at our hotel.

Day 5, Thursday 24th NovemberJerusalem/Mt of Olives/Ein Karem

Coach to the summit of the Mt of Olives in Jerusalem and visit Ascension Dome, Pater Noster Grotto, where Jesus taught His Prayer, Our Father. We then walk to Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem. We celebrate Mass here and afterwards proceed to Gethsemane Garden and the Basilica of the Agony (the Church of All Nations) to view the Rock of the Agony and we spend a few minutes here for prayer/reflection. We have lunch here and afterwards coach to Ein Karem and the Visitation Shrine of Our Lady to St Elizabeth, then move on to visit the Basilica of St John the Baptist and visit the chapel where he was born. Return to our hotel & dinner.

Day 6, Friday 25th NovemberMt Tabor/Nazareth/Cana

We say goodbye to Bethlehem and drive along the Jordan Valley to Mt Tabor – the church of Transfiguration. Taxis up to the summit and we tour here. Proceed to Nazareth and on to the magnificent Annunciation Basilica that dominates the skyline of Nazareth. We visit the Grotto where the Annunciation took place, and we give you time to reflect and pray in front of the Grotto. We then move on to visit St Joseph’s Grotto and his workshop. Walking across the road we visit the Synagogue of Jesus and Mary’s Well. Proceed to Cana where Jesus performed his first miracles. Mass here and renewal of married Vows. Check in to our hotel in Tiberias. Dinner and overnight here.

Day 7, Saturday 26th NovemberMajor Holy Sites of the Sea of Galilee

Leave the hotel and proceed to the River Jordan for renewal of our Baptismal Vows. Continue on to Tiberias and we will have a sail on the Sea of Galilee in an ancient re-production boat. Afterwards drive to Capernaum (the town of Jesus) viewing St Peter’s Church and the remains of the ancient Synagogue in which Jesus used to teach. We view other ancient remains here. We also visit the Mt of Beatitudes where the Sermon on the Mount took place and admire the incredible view of the Sea of Galilee. Proceed to St Peter’s Primacy, where Christ appeared to the Apostles after His resurrection, and we celebrate Mass here. We then drive to the Multiplication Shrine, where Jesus multiplied a few fish and 5 loaves to feed 5,000. Return to hotel for dinner.

Day 8, Sunday 27th NovemberHaifa/Tel Aviv/UK

We check out of the hotel and head towards Haifa and visit Mt Carmel – the Basilica of Our Lady Star of the Sea – Carmelite Headquarters. We view the Cave of Prophet Elijah, and we celebrate Mass here. Along the way we stop and view the impressive Bahá’í gardens and temple. Depending on the time-of-flight departure, we may stop in Jaffa (Tel Aviv) to visit St Peter’s Church in Tel Aviv. Proceed to the airport for our flight back to London.

Booking Deadline & Payment Terms

The booking deadline for this tour is 15/08/22. You can still book after this date but the tour price may be subject to change. We advise booking sooner rather than later to guarantee the best price possible.

A deposit payment of £350 with your completed booking form will confirm your place on this tour. The final balance is due 2 months prior to the departure date.

We’ll mail your travel pack around two weeks before travelling, including your flight information, boarding passes (if applicable), general information booklet, hymn and prayer booklets, name badge, lanyard and luggage label.
